Fellowship & Salary
Students in this major are eligible to apply for "HaKaSe+ (Kanazawa University Strategic Project for Development of Doctoral Students and Research Promotion)".
Below is an example of the support provided if the project is selected for HaKaSe+.
- Admission fee & Tuition fee are full exemption, Support for travel expenses, etc.
- Master: 50,000YEN/month(Grant) + ca. 360,000YEN/year max(RA saraly)
- Doctor: 180,000YEN/month(Grant) + ca. 400,000YEN/year(Research fund)
We also welcome fellowship recipients such as JSPS Research Fellow.
International Student Support
In this division, all classes are held in English. The Kanazawa University provides international students with a variety of support. Details are shown in the website.

Postdocs
We welcome fellowship recipients such as JSPS Research Fellow: Standard Program of JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research in Japan. This fellowship provides i) a round-trip air ticket and ii) maintenance allowance (362,000YEN per month) during up to 2 years. Application oppotunities of the fellowship are twice per year (deadlines: around April and October). Depending on seasons, we can also hire you by our research grants. About Kanazawa University
The roots of Kanazawa University can be traced to 1862 when the Kaga Domain established Hikoso Vaccination Center (Hikoso shutōsho). Ishikawa Normal School (Ishikawa shihan gakkō), Kanazawa Higher Normal School (Kanazawa kōtō shihan gakkō), Ishikawa Youth Normal School (Ishikawa seinen shihan gakkō), Kanazawa Medical School (Kanazawa ika daigaku), Kanazawa Technical College (Kanazawa kōgyō senmon gakkō), and the Fourth Higher School (Daishi kōtō gakkō) were integrated in May 1949 to form Kanazawa University. Since then, Kanazawa University has been the leader of universities on the Sea of Japan. About Kanazawa City
